Version: 1.1.2 (using KDE 3.4.3, Debian Package 4:3.4.3-2 (testing/unstable)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-1-686 I moved some hundred Mbytes of Mail from a folder in maildir storage format to a folder in mailbox storage format. After a full night of working only 380 Mbytes were moved (I stopped the operation then). This happened on a 1600 MHz mobile Pentium and 512 Mbytes of RAM. I observed that less than ~1 Mbyte per minute got moved when the mailbox file got over 350 Mbytes. Mark
Any interest in this one?
Krisztain, Are you able to reproduce? Does it get progressively worse? That is, does it start out fast but get slower as the file gets larger?
Dupe, all move operations are slow. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 108375 ***
also, poor mbox performance is why we introduced maildir.
