Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux Clear: libqscintilla.so.6 required by python-qt 3.51 are not provided with the KDE 3.51 packages. I am using the SUSE 10.0 RPMs but I feel this is not SUSE-specific. I have only libqscintilla.so.5 (either from my KDE 3.50 installation or default SUSE 10.0 installation I do not know) -- which is apparently insufficient. I am running SUSE Linux 10.0 which came with KDE 3.42, and I installed KDE 3.42 on top of that without any such problems. Every KDE upgrade should be bug-free like that. I submit that the upgraded QScintilla package needed to install python-qt 3.51 properly must be included with the KDE distribution. P.S: The http://kde.org/info/requirements/3.5.php page also does not list libqscintilla.so.6 among the requirements.
This would be a problem with the SUSE packages which are neither made by or supported by the KDE project. Please report this to the OpenSUSE people at http://www.opensuse.org
It's a non bug in any case, qscintilla.rpm is available on ftp.suse.com in the applications directory - kdevelop.rpm is in the development RPM. Installing via yast-source avoids the problem.
