Description mark 2006-02-19 02:57:09 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
OS: Linux

I can set desktop resolutions from with KDE but if I need to change or even just check the colour depth setting I need to vi through xorg.conf. Fun for me but not good for most.
Would be nice to have the facility on the same app as resolutions as seen in that other OS.

Confirmed. Also present in Debian GNU/Linux Testing (etch) distribution of KDE 3.5.2.

Recommend severity=normal. This bug is a problem with programs which require a certain color depth and we need to be keeping up with MS on this feature.
