Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux Yeah, the title says it all! I think it would make sense to expand the OSD options with a "show cover on desktop" checkbox. Then the (borderless!) cover would show up and you could drag it to where you want, just like with the OSD. I know there are scripts for this, but they don't really work and anyway I really think this should be a default OSD option. Also, when using the scripts you need to set advanced application settings, like position=force, desktop=alldesktops, keepbelow=force, noborder=force, skiptaskbar=force, skippager=force and stuff. Dunno, but it's a weird solution with the scripts, so a checkbox in the OSD would totally make sense!
Created attachment 14753 [details] see cover bottom left! I added a screenshot of how it looks when I use one of the desktop scripts, the cover is bottom left. A checkbox for this would be nice!
Sorry, this is better as a script. We've been even considering making some of our features plugins, so this would be just against this direction. The plugins do work, as long as you have the necessary dependencies, and each script can and should implement a dialog with all necessary options. Send your requests to the authors of the scripts.
