Description m.wege 2006-02-16 23:50:25 UTC
Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Debian Package 4:3.5.1-2 (testing/unstable))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.14-kanotix-9

I want to suggest that kmail accepts incomplete Data, when you add a birthday. I often happens, that I know the day, but not the years of a Birthday, sometime I know the year, but not the date. I came up with faking the year, but this it not so nice. I would suggest to allow the Format 01.01.0000 (0000 would be the missing year) or 00.00.1987 (00.00 - do know the date, but the year). The advantage: later on: missing data could be searchable.

I think this is a duplicate.

This really would be so great - but alas it seems to be a duplicate of the wontfix Bug 95522. Or is there now any other information regarding vcard compatibility etc.?

The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
