Description 2006-02-16 02:26:46 UTC
Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Mandriva Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler: Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-15mdk

Im using revision 506221.
In kmail when i right click in a message of the folder sent and then choose Reforward->Resend, then i choose an address and click send, but that message is sent again to the previous existent address and not to the new address choosen.

Do you mean the Redirect feature? If yes, then I cannot confirm. It works as
expected on my system (OpenSuse 10.0 KDE 3.5.1 RPMs, KMail 1.9.1).
Comment 2 2006-02-16 13:53:24 UTC
I did said "Im using revision 506221." didnt u saw it?!
That implies that im using branch_3.5
Comment 3 Thiago Macieira 2006-02-19 22:11:12 UTC
Technically, no, it doesn't imply that. But he didn't ask which version you were using: he just said which version he was using.

I cannot confirm this either, using 3.5 revision 505606.

Since there's no such thing as "Reforward->Resend", I tried Forward->Redirect and Send Again. All of them worked.
Comment 4 2006-02-19 22:44:36 UTC
Now im using revision 511437 and with Forward->Redirect the mails are sent to
me instead to the chosen address.

I confirm that in KMail 1.9.7, choosing Forward|redirect asks for an email address and then sends the message to the original recipient. Check the following headers (apollo and lists are the same host):

The giveaway header is this one:

Received: from sysadmin.hst.org.za (sysadmin.int.dbn.hst.org.za [10.1.1.20])
	(authenticated bits=0)
	by hermes.hst.org.za (8.13.8/8.13.8) with ESMTP id m819kO4K080137

Where sendmail logs the received re-sent message as being for the original recipient.

Comment 8 Devin LaSalle 2008-11-07 05:23:23 UTC
I am running Kmail 1.9.10 on KDE 3.5.10-1.fc9. When I use the Message -> Forward -> Redirect function the redirected message does reach the destination address that I specify. The problem I see is that Kmail somehow replaces the original message senders' email address with the email address of my own account from which I redirected the message. Interestingly when I look at the message in the destination address that I specified the From: line still contains the original senders' name as I would expect.
Comment 9 Brian DeRocher 2009-08-20 20:45:13 UTC
I'm also seeing this bug with Kmail 1.12.0 (KDE 4.3.0). If i redirect to someone, it does not go TO: that person. It goes TO: me, the recipient of the original message.

Looking at the message in plain text from the Sent folder, the Resent-To: header is correct.
Comment 10 Brian DeRocher 2009-08-20 20:48:06 UTC
Just wanted to say that the email does get delivered.
