Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc 3.4.4 OS: Linux Right now, when I hover the mouse over kmail's tray icon it displays the message 'there are xxx unread messages'. It is all right, but I would like to be able to have more information in it. More specifically, I would like to see what it is doing right now. Like, when I am sending or receiving an email, it could display the information which also shows up on the 'Detailed Progress Window'. Which is, in he case of IMAP: 'Mailbox - Folder - Whatisitdoing - progress%'. It is nice to be able to peek on what kmail is doing whithout having to 'un-tray' it, especially when you have lots of traffic, or, in my case a BIG disconnected IMAP mailbox.
This is a good idea. Additionally, if kmail is not working and there is an unread mail count being displayed, the tooltip should show more information about these messages (sender, subject, maybe a part of the body, etc.)
Agree to both of you.
