Description penttu09 2006-02-08 21:17:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

When inserting DVD the notification has only 2 options: open in new window and do nothing. So... i tried to add a new option: Play DVD. I chose "DVD Video Disc" from the available medium types-list. I use xine-ui to play my videos/DVDs, so when adding an option i put "xine dvd:/" (that command works from the terminal when the DVD is in) on the command field. When inserting DVD again, the option "Play DVD" is on the list fine. But after selecting it and pressing ok it comes up with an error window. Title is "error - KOExec" and it says "/media/cdrom1 is a folder, but a file was expected." I've tried to change the command to plain xine and xine %f, but it gives the same error.

Right. KIO will always give the path or the URL to the folder.
