Description Ted Percival 2006-02-02 01:24:01 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

In the KDesktop configuration utility, in the Behaviour section's File Icons tab there is the option "Show hidden files". This option affects files beginning with ".". It would be good if files ending with tilde (~) were also considered hidden. Many editors automatically make backup files ending with the tilde character, although in some cases a user might want to see these (eg. in Konqueror), I cannot see any reason why a user would want these on the desktop.

This seems to duplicate bug 3212.
