Description W.S.Wilson 2006-01-29 04:11:45 UTC
Version: 1.8.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Observed with KMAIl 1.7.1 and 1.8.2, on KDE 3.3.0 and 3.5.0, When there is a problem with the POP server preventing connection, from a slow dial-p (timeout) or a full mail box (observed on DSL) kmail reports now new messages rather thatn a failure to connect. I would expect an error message alerting me to the problem.

The correct version for KDE 3.5 is KMail 1.9, however I recommend you to use
KMail 1.9.1 as it includes some important bug fixes from after KMail 1.9.

kmail in KDE 4.3 gives an error dialog.
