Kopete should be able to be configured to allow the chat history to have an unlimited length rather than the current 9999 line limit.

Kopete gets unusable for me, when i have 50 lines, so I guess 9999 isn't possible at the moment.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
