Description Jaakko Holster 2006-01-23 10:42:44 UTC
Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.0, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.0-0ubuntu0breezy1 breezy)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-9-686

I run kmail with periodic mail checking enabled on my laptop, which is of course not always online¹ due to nature of laptops. When I'm offline, kmail keeps popping up annoying dialogs telling me about failed connection. Well, that's not what I want to be told - I rather want, that kmail just silently checks my mails when there _is_ a network available.

We could notify user in the status bar instead of popups - "Mails checked last xxx hours ago" etc.

In the case of manual check the popup is ok.

[1] Referring to both information network and electricity network :)
