Version:           3.5 (using KDE 3.5.0 Level "a" , SUSE 10.0 UNSUPPORTED)
Compiler:          Target: i586-suse-linux
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-15.7-default

I'm trying to access a smb-share in an active directory domain (using samba 3.0.21a). From the command line I can access the machine:

axel@tp-a30:~> smbclient //hecl0302/axe$ -U emea/axe
Password:
Domain=[EMEA] OS=[Windows Server 2003 3790 Service Pack 1] Server=[Windows Server 2003 5.2]

When entering smb://hecl0302/axe$ in konqueror's address field I'm asked for user and PW (emea/axe und password), thereafter I got the message:

Beim Laden von smb://hecl0302/axe$ ist folgender Fehler aufgetreten:
Zeitüberschreitung auf dem Server hecl0302

(whiche means: error when loading smb://... timeout on server hecl0302.

I've tried various combinations in the address line, like axe@hecl etc. no impact.

This bug has been reported many times.
kdebase3-samba-3.4.2-3.i586.rpm is still OK!
All later rpm's of kdebase-samba are broken (using SuSE 9.1, kdebase3-3.5.0-29).

KDE 3 is no longer maintained. Feel free to reopen the ticket if the problem is still applicable in the current stable KDE 4 version. Thank you for your report.
