Version: 0.9.88 (using KDE KDE 3.4.3) Installed from: Unspecified Linux OS: Linux Kdiff3 doesnt show utf-8 encoded files correctly. Arabic characters are shown usually as a character followed by a square. I tried both utf8,utf16,ISO-8859-6 and cp1256 encoding but it doesn't help. In Windows it was better with ISO-8859-6 and cp1256 (I can see the arabic letters but they are not joines as they should be in arabic). The problem is maybe that Kdiff3 somehow doesn't recognize UTF-8 as such! Thank you!
Hi, In version 0.9.88 KDiff3 doesn't detect the encoding of a file automatically. You have to set it in the regional-settings in the configuration. UTF-8 is also allowed. Was this the problem? Joachim
