Version: 1.4.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Hey there,
I think that it would be nice to have EPK-diagrams in umbrello since they can be "combined" with other already existing diagram-types.
I am sorry that I could just find a document describing the topic in german:
http://geb.uni-giessen.de/geb/volltexte/2004/1634/pdf/Apap_WI_1999_12.pdf
If I find another document, I'll post the corresponding URL asap.

There are almost only documents in German, because EPK (EPC in English) are
the product of a German company. It is a model for business process
modelling. I don't see how this would fit into Umbrello, because Umbrello
focuses on software design. Of course it would be nice to transform an EPC
into a software design description, but this is not possible. Also, EPC is
based on automate theory, so you can basically do this kind of modelling
with the UML diagrams.

An english overview is located at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Event-driven_process_chain [1].

It looks that there is no open source tool to create EPC/EPK diagrams (see german only link - https://blog.stefan-macke.com/2007/05/21/open-source-werkzeug-zum-erstellen-von-erweiterten-ereignisgesteuerten-prozessketten-eepk/).

umbrello may get a business extension or plugin to support such EPC/EPK diagrams.

A quick look at the structure of the example at [1] let me think that umbrello's state diagrams may be the best choice for such support by choosing a different icon set and some association/widget connection logic extension.

volunteers are welcome.
