Version: 0.11 (using KDE 3.5.0, Debian Package 4:3.5.0-3 (testing/unstable)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15 please make that head-like icons changing between blue and grey removable. imo they are really ugly and annoying so i wish to be able to remove them altogether.
Just FYI, if you go into the preferences under appearance and tell it to use contact photos when available, it will use the user photo instead of the metacontact icon if they have one.
thanks. i've seen that already but i prefer no such icon at all (maybe a white 1px-icon would be a workaround).
> (maybe a white 1px-icon would be a workaround). no, it's not. "use photo if available" uses an icon of 15x15 or so -- regardless how big the photo would be. so a 1px icon is still a 15x15 area.
These icons scare children (tested). I would use photos instead of them if the photos were not that big, thus wasting space.

I actually have a large ugly blue head, and committed these as a massive act of egotism. Real comment: watch out for the KDE4 contact list...
> I actually have a large ugly blue head, and committed these as a massive act of egotism. well, wasn't there something about plastic surgery's great efforts in france the other day ... (in fact, with heads and knives they're impressive! think of robespierre ;-)
Fixed in trunk (SVN commit 946606) will be in KDE 4.3
