Description thomas klein 2006-01-14 15:09:58 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

I was trying to delete a big mail folder (20 000 mails in it)

I selected "move all messages in trash" => this takes something like 10 minutes (a lot of time for a move).

then I selected "empty trash"

kmail takes 100% cpu then I waited for about 30 min.

nothing seems to happen

I killed -9 kmail

cd ~/Mail/trash

find -type f| wc -l
19805

find cur/ -type f | xargs rm
(this takes about 1 sec)

I relaunched kmail and clicked on trash (it redoes his index in less than 1 sec too).
