Description Achim Bohnet 2006-01-14 10:35:55 UTC
Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.0, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.0-0ubuntu9 dapper)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-11-686

After login/restart I found my addressbook empty in kontact.
[thx to however implemented the _<n> backups or std.vcf ;)]

I had 2 New Mail Windows open (recipients added via addressbook
completion, so known in addressbook). When I exit Kontact with
those New Mail Windows open std.vcf is empty after kontact is
exited.

Saving the two new mail messages in Drafts folder then exit kontact
std.vcf does not get deleted.

I opened the 2 New mail msg again from draft folder,
and after exit of kontact, std.vcf was empty again.

Hi,

I came across the same bug recently, while working with kontact. Whenever there is an unfinished mail open with a filled-in recipient of the addressbook, the contact address file (std.vcf) get emptied when the program is terminated. This leaves you with an empty contact list on reopening.

I'm running it on kde-3.5.1 on a gentoo system. More details of my system can be given on request.
