Description Thomas Reitelbach 2006-01-11 17:46:20 UTC
Version: 0.1.2 (using KDE 3.5.0, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.1
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15

The HTML Gallery export plugin has a problem with filenames or directories that contain german umlauts.

I have a Album with 13 pictures. One of them has the filename "Sägespäne als Füllmaterial.jpg". In the exported image gallery the thumbnail display correct, but when i click on the thumb i receive a 404 not found error because the html image gallery links to this filename:
"file:///home/tr/Duerener/KIPIHTMLExport/Anschauungsmaterial/pages/S%3F%3Fgesp%3F%3Fne als F%3F%3Fllmaterial.jpg.jpg.html".

The same problem exists for directory names, all umlauts in directories result in such error message.

The browser is konqueror.

thanks,
Thomas

I believe this page [1] could be useful.

Hm, sorry but i don't see how this page could be useful. The problem is how the digikam plugin handles the umlauts, not the umlauts itself.
