Version: 1.3.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.0) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux It seems silly to group songs by 'Bob Dylan' and 'BOB DYLAN' separately. It would be better to ignore case when sorting songs et al. Probably under-score characters should also be ignored. It would also be nice if amarok could intelligently correct spelling mistakes like 'Bob Dilan' and suggest a correction.
This was fixed at some point.
Bah, misread.
I think it's better to fix your tags instead hiding the tag errors. However, a feature that points to likely errors, sounds useful.
I second this feature request. Regarding comment #3, why (from a user perspective) should it be better to fix the tag errors? It only causes a lot of work. In the user's opinion, the media library is responsible to sort things like this out. For him, the only reason to fix the tag errors would be that the media library doesn't do it. Is it in any fundamental way difficult or problematic to make the collection browser case insensitive?
Robert, *nix in itself is case sensitive, so changing the tags on the user side is by far easier :)
