Description Tanveer Singh 2006-01-07 05:18:38 UTC
Version: 3.7.0 (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

Suppose inside the main amarok window you can open three playlist windows, like in konqueror you can open multile directories by doing a split window. This way we can easily drag and drop songs from one plalist to other, easy creation of playlists too.

With split window mode possiblities are endless. You could have a search window in which your search results are kept and from there you can simulatanoiusly transfer the songs in different playlists etc.,

With this feature we will also need a <Save> button as opposed to <Save as> if you want to save to the same location

I'm gonna make this a dup of bug #79486, related to tabbed playlists. Though it's not the same, it would be similar, and has much more chance of getting implemented some day.
I don't like the idea of multiple windows inside of amaroK at all, it just doesn't make much sense. It's great for web pages or files on a browser, but I really think it's too much for playlists.
You can use drag and drop on Playlist Browser.
