Description Janet 2006-01-06 22:35:55 UTC
Version:           1.3.0 (using KDE 3.4.3, Debian Package 4:3.4.3-1 (testing/unstable))
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-kanotix-17

Gwenview automatically rotates pictures according to their exif information. That's a nice feature but most of the time I don't need it, I prefer seeing the pictures as they are and then rotating them by myself with exiftran/jpegtran.

So I want this setting to be disabled by default. There's an option in the settings where I can disable it. But it only works for the current gwenview session. When I close gwenview and restart it - the setting is enabled again. Other new settings are saved - just this one isn't :(

Hello,

I can reproduce the bug on version 1.3.1 of Gwenview. It's fixed in the development version. For now you should be able to work around it this way:
- Edit the file named .kde/share/config/gwenviewrc (should be in your home).
- Add these two lines at the end of it.
[misc]
autoRotateImages=false

The option should remain unchecked for now on.
