Description Fritz Heinrichmeyer 2006-01-03 13:30:53 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Unspecified
OS: Linux

i choose audiocd:/mp3 and then drag all files to a directory. This has the effect that audio tracks are ripped to mp3 files in that directory. This works but is slow and freezes last available amarok in gentoo ~x86.

This procedure fails completely with the last CD from the german band "fettes brot" (german hiphop :-) ). I suspect the problem is with a song containing question mark "?" in the title.

I realized that i could rip this and other CDs much faster with k3b ...

As far as i remember ripping speed was better half a year before using the same procedure (i do this only in preparation of parties btw. ) ...

I really don't understand your report. How are you ripping your files, are you using Konqueror for it?

How is the CD-ripping speed related to amaroK?

Seems to be a audiocd kio slave related problem.
Comment 6 Martin Aumueller 2006-11-05 17:04:57 UTC
set version information and move to audiocd kio.
