Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0) OS: Linux In the "advanced permissions" (acl) dialog of konqueror, it might furthermore be usefull to change the order off the entrys. Actually the order seems to be: owner, owning group, others, mask, named users in alphabetic order, named groups in alphabetic order. Using the order "owner, mask, named users, named groups, owning group, others" there would be a visual representation of the process who happening when requesting permissions - because this process happens (more or less) in this order. Maybe it is also usefull to show the entry "group" and all entries "named group" with the same background color (not changing one in blue, the second in white, how it is normally). This would visualise a little bit that you get the permissions of ALL groups you are member of and who are listed in the acl - when you aren't owner or named user and at least ONE of the group or named group entries is applied to you.
ACL issue.
Let me think about this one.
Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates.
This seems unnecessary; exposing such a technical implementation detail of how changing permissions works under the hood doesn't seem like it would actually benefit anyone.
