Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0) Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package OS: Linux When using kscd with digital playback my audio device is blocked during playback. For example, this is the output of mplayer: alsa-init: 1 soundcard found, using: default ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:819:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave alsa-init: playback open error: Device or resource busy You see, I'm using alsa/dmix, I've created /etc/asound.conf for software mixing, which is working in other applications. arts is disabled, I've also selected alsa in kscd and tried if it works when I specify /dev/sound/audio as playback device, but it doesn't. This is my /etc/asound.conf: # Die Soundkarte wird festgelegt. pcm.snd_card { type hw card 0 device 0 } # Das dmix-Plugin wird definiert. pcm.dmixer { type dmix ipc_key 1024 ipc_perm 0666 # andere Benutzer können dmix gleichzeitig nutzen slave.pcm "snd_card" slave { # buffer_size kann bei Problemen der jeweiligen Karte angepasst werden. period_time 0 period_size 512 buffer_size 32768 } bindings { 0 0 1 1 } } # Dies definiert unser dmix-Plugin als Standard für alle ALSA-Programme. pcm.!default { type plug slave.pcm "dmixer" } ######## # AOSS # ######## # DSP wird simuliert und benutzt das dmix-Plugin. pcm.dsp "dmixer" pcm.dsp1 "dmixer" # OSS-Steuerung für dsp0 (falls es benötigt wird...) ctl.dsp { type plug slave.pcm "snd_card" } # OSS-Steuerung für dsp0 (falls es benötigt wird...) ctl.mixer { type plug slave.pcm "snd_card" }
