Version: 1.8.3 (using KDE KDE 3.4.3) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages This bug is similar to 50707. That one says an error message is not displayed. Here, i get an error message, but the data is still lost. I moved about 55 messages from a folder on my local host to a folder on an IMAP server. During that process i get an error message like this: --- Error while uploading message Could not upload the message dated 2004/7/27 9:24 from "Lastname, Firstname" <user@domain.tld> with subject "Some subject" on the server. The destination folder was DEST, which has the URL . The error message from the server communication is here: This message is too big and can not be appended. Continue Cancel --- But when i look at the originating folder, the message isn't there either! This bug also occurs when i move a folder with a large message in it.

Of course i don't want to test this with my real email. Could someone show me how to create a 35MB email on my local disk, to test with. I don't think mailing myself will work, because that will also be rejected by the IMAP server.
You simply create a new mail with a large attachment, save it as a template Then move the mail from the Templkate Folder into your IMAP Folder. This should do the trick for testing.
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
