Description M. Olson 2005-12-28 00:13:33 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
Compiler: x86_64 Fedora pre-compiled / unknown version
OS: Linux

This may be a duplicate of this bug:

http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79456

I'm running KDE 3.5, Fedora Core 4, kmail 1.9.1. (3.5.0-0.2.fc4) on x86_64.

However, I'm using courier-imap-ssl 1.4.3-3.3 from Debian woody on the server side. Worked fine before client upgrade to KDE 3.5 (stock binary packages). I have another client running kmail 1.8.2 (3.4.2-0.fc3.2 Fedora Core 3 i386) and it works fine.

My work around was to configure the subscription with the 1.8.2 client (subscription is stored server side). Although this work around or the one in the previous bug may help, this still appears to be a bug.

I think I may have found the solution. I replace 'Maildir' with 'INBOX' in the 'Personal' field on the General tab for the IMAP account and it started working fine. This is while using courier imap on Debian woody (courier-imap-ssl 1.4.3-3.3). Maybe some kind of odd interaction with courier imapd.

Maildir is simply wrong, the correct prefix for courier is "INBOX.". You should get this when you reload the namespaces in the account dialog.

Is there still something here that can be fixed?
