Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.3) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux In Konqueror there is this function to rip CDs into MP3 or OGG format. I have a CD which consists of an Audio-Part and a Data-Part. Unfortunately Konqueror is only able to show the DATA-Part of the CD, so that it is impossible to use its excellent ripping function. Unfortunately I do not know if this still exists in KDE 3.5, since there are still no Debian packages available. Since I could not find a bug-report on this, I guess the problem still exists. The problem also exists in k3b, which at least tells me that the CD consits of an audio and data part. I will file a separate bug report there.
Is it only one cd or all your cd's?
It is only on this one, but I only have this CD which consists from a multi-session audio/ data. It is a bought cd, I can play and read the audio part using windows media player. Using k3b, it is also able to analyse the cd and tell me that this is a multi session cd. Since this is a small band, I am quite sure, this is not a copy protection mechanism. If necessary, I could provide the iso-file of the cd.
I can also confirm this. E.g. Rock Spectacle by Barenaked Ladies is an audio CD with a data portion. Sound Juicer and other dedicated ripping or playing apps can read the audio portion normally.
Would be great if this could be solved. In the meantime I had another cd, but luckily kaffeine was able to deal with it.
