I enabled downloading at startup, kmail fetched pop3 letters correctly, but even if imap server appears to work it fails to download mails. Now after a reboot it suceedeed to finish downloading the mails from the same imap server, and now the preferences doesn't freeze. But this wasn't the first occurence of this bug (yesterday (at 2005-12-24) I reformatted, reinstalled my whole system becouse of this bug) so I assume it to be reproducible.
This bug is reproducible. Anyways, I was able to produce it using imap and offline-imap. If I delete my messages from pine/webmail/previous version of kmail it works again.
Still stands for Kmail 1.9.1 kde 3.5.1 at least offline imap. when I delete my mails from the remote server using wemail, and reboot, it works again.
Still present in 1.9.3 kde 3.5.3.
The same deadlock is present with pop3s kmail 1.9.3 kde 3.5.3
What is with kmail in kde 4.3? The 3.5 line is unmaintained
