Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux In OpenOffice writer and Microsoft Word there is a view mode called Web Layout which is extremely usefull when you want to focus on pure writing and not any formatting. In this mode which is similar to Text Mode in Kword, but with one major difference. In this view mode the text should wrap to the window and be largely independent of view mode so one can just write and maybe format without the distraction of margins and the ugliness of the margins on the current text view. I was able to explain this in detail in the #koffice channel please email me if there are any questions. Thanks
I vote for this request. (It has been reported for long time, but I am afraid not really grasped, see closed wishes like https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33122 and others.) It would be great to implement such feature in KWord because this missing feature is one important reason, that I do not like to use KWord for my writing (even if I use KDE). Thanks :)

Right, and the normal view layout look utterly congested. The Kate/Kwrite look a lot better than KWord's Normal View. Perhaps making kword's normal view to kwrite's default look (as text editor) would make it interesting. thanks.

Thank you for your bug report or feature suggestion. The "KOffice" application suite is no longer maintained, and all tickets are now closed. We recommend to switch to the "Calligra" application suite, which has replacements for all unmaintained KOffice applications: - KWord was replaced with Calligra Words - KPlato was replaced with Calligra Plan For more information, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calligra_Suite (This is an automatic message from the KDE bug triaging team)
