Description Eion MacDonald 2005-12-16 18:28:27 UTC
Version: KDE Kmail (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: not relevant not relevant
OS: Linux

Failure to be able to change subject name in incoming email header in inbox, so that it can be stored underdate/ relevant subject name (not issuer's generic repeated name)
e.g.sender's subject "Christmas greeting"
I would want to change to
date/ relevant sort data/ Christmas greeting

example: 20051216 Skipton Bank Christmas greeting

Edit facility for incoming e-mail is necessary for an orderly data keeping mail system. See MS Outlook edit facility for example.
thanks

This seems to be a duplicate of bug 55576 - "message subject line editing"
Comment 2 Philip Rodrigues 2006-11-09 18:42:06 UTC
Thanks for pointing that out, Helder!
