Version: 0.11 (using KDE 3.5.0, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.6 (Gentoo 3.3.6, ssp-3.3.6-1.0, pie-8.7.8) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.14-gentoo-r4 When a user comes online, a passive notification is shown. Sometimes, I want to click them away. However, they only go away if you click on the picture, not if you click on another part of the nofication area.
I noticed that the above is only valid if a buddy icon is present. If not, you can click everywhere on the popup to make it go away.
I believe this is by design, but I'll let someone more qualified comment (Olivier?)
It seems it is because KActiveLabel (we use to display the link) intercept the click event, and when you click on the active label, but outside the link, nothing happen. the 'empty' area around the link is owned by the active label. The text and the pixmap is owned by some othr label that doesn't intercpet the click event, and then the popup can intercept it.

Really? The thing is, that it *does* work when no buddy icon is available. Don't you use KActiveLabel in that case, or is there some other problem? If the problem is indeed in KActiveLabel, could you file a bug upstream against KDE libs please? André
It works if you click on the text. (which is a QLabel) When there is an image, there is a large part of the popup which seems empty but is in fact the link.
