Description Thierry 2005-12-09 21:54:09 UTC
Version: 3.4.2 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
OS: Linux

For remove file on a auxiliary full part. ex: hdc7
it's impossible with konqueror.
In console it's possible. ex: rm /mnt/my_directory/my_file

Do you try to trash or delete it?

Which one did you try?
Comment 4 Thierry 2005-12-11 16:40:54 UTC
i don't undestand the question.
see the first post...
necessary condition: a full part.
tasted with konqueror 3.4.2.

If you delete a file with a console; konqueror run again for deleting other file.

When you deleted the file in Konqueror, how did you do it? Did you press Del? Or did you select "Send to trash" in the context popup-menu? Did you select "Delete"?
Comment 6 Thierry 2005-12-11 23:02:08 UTC
first i have to try the "Send to trash" in the context popup-menu
after i have to try the " shift+del" of the keyboard.

the "confirm window" is not appear.

I tested with a full partition (my home), on KDE 3.5.5. This did not happen for me.

My interpretation: He tried to move the file to the trash on a full drive, which you can't do. I think he also complained about the lack of a confirmation dialog on shift+delete, but I think that shortcut is meant to bypass all the dialogs and trash.
