Version: 3.4.3 (using KDE 3.4.3, Debian Package 4:3.4.3-1 (testing/unstable)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-kanotix-17 I always have the navigation bar at the left side enabled in konqueror (though closed). But when I make one of the browser tab windows independend it always opens in a new konqueror window *without* that navigation bar. I than have to press F9 to get back the navigation bar. And then it is not displayed fully but without the tabs for the sidebars I added myself.
It seems to open without any profile. Therefore the navigation panel is not shown because in the not existing profile it is not saved that the navigation panel is to be shown and all self added entries in the navigation panel are not shown when one presses F9 because it is neither filemanagement nor webbrowsing profile. It seems konqueror needs a hint which profile the original window is using when cutting of a tab so it can also use that profile in the new window.
Confirmed on r620k. Probably related to a number of other tabbing bugs
Fixed in trunk in revision 795595 by me (edulix). See http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdebase/apps/konqueror/src/konqviewmanager.cpp?r1=794867&r2=795595
Fixed "later" as in "KDE4"
