Description jerome 2005-12-02 05:51:49 UTC
Version: 3.5 (using KDE 3.5.0, compiled sources)
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-SL100_BRANCH_20051109154739-smp

It is a sort of complement to the open bug report about target=_new but concerns target=_BLANK.

If Joe saved its Konqueror window configuration as a full-screen display, Konqueror will also display windows opened by a target=_BLANK as a full-screen window which is certainly not the expected behaviour by the html writer ...
May it be possible to take into account that all target=_BLANK windows must be embedded in the calling window and take some percents of its surface?
In other word the calling Window should always be visible...

As I see this as an unconfirmed bug, I just would like to add that FireFox and others behave the expected way...

I changed this to a wishlist item as this seems to be more of a feature request.

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
