I haven't been able to reproduce it, but I think it has something to do with using the Show Desktop button in the Panel. Anyway, when i maximize a window, KWin crashes sometimes. It happened again: I pushed "show desktop" in panel, opened up aMule from a link on the Desktop and KWin crashed again.

Strange, but you have quite the same apps running as I do. Has it something to do with superkaramba ? I also use the showDesktop button very frequently. regards
I disabled superkaramba and it still happens.
Actually, it still happens with 3.5.2 I encountered it while trying to start pingus (w/OpenGL) on full screen. Just tried again and it didn't crash. It happens with other applications as well and has a quite random character. I couldn't find a reason for that - happens with different applications. Can't send a backtrace - don't have any debugging binaries
The last time I encountered the problem was with kde 3.5.1. Now I'm using Gnome to get some fresh air.
