Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.3KDE 1.2KDE 1.2) Installed from: SuSE RPMsSuSE RPMsSuSE RPMs So. There is two problems in one. First. I have a ftp server (in the inner network, I can't show it), which accepts only two connections from one login name. When I use konqueror as a ftp server, and download a directory, it tries to connect more than one time, and so the server shutting down my connection. When I download files one-by-one, it's all correct. Second. I have a mobile phone. When I trying to download some stuff from it via bluetooth interface, I can do it only if I download file one-by-one. If I try to download hole directory, Konqueror tries to establish several connections, and the phone is break down the connection.

This bug is because the FTP KIO slave is opening multiple connections to servers. Some servers only accept one connection from each client - some servers even ban clients if they try to open too many connections. As mentioned in the bug 117520 that is marked duplicate of this bug (and is much more detailed), this is causing problems for users of Quanta Plus. It would be nice if there were at least an option for KIO_FTP to re-use a connection.
