Description injulen 2005-11-29 00:52:34 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
OS: Linux

I can connect to my AIM account, but as soon as I select someone to talk to and start typing, my Kopete crashes. It was working fine earlier, so I don't know what the problem is. The application doesn't crash when messaging with Yahoo or MSN.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 106378 ***
Comment 2 injulen 2005-11-29 04:06:12 UTC
This isn't a duplicate! My client does not disconnect me, and then I try and talk. I try and talk while still connected!
Comment 3 Matt Rogers 2005-11-29 04:53:56 UTC
Please provide a backtrace that proves that this bug is not a duplicate of bug 106378. Without further proof, I can't consider this problem different from the other.
Comment 4 injulen 2005-11-29 18:39:53 UTC
I'm sorry, but what is a backtrace/how do I find it?
Comment 5 Matt Rogers 2005-11-30 01:11:27 UTC
If Kopete crashes, then the KDE crash handler should be displayed and there's a backtrace tab that you can switch to copy and paste it in to the bug report.
Comment 6 Bryan McCormick 2006-02-09 01:17:07 UTC
I have the same problem. Here is my backtrace:
