Description Frank Mueller 2005-11-29 00:19:00 UTC
Version: 1.8.2 (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

I'd like to see a kinit option for GSSAPI.

Why? When I use GSSAPI, I have to get a kerberos ticket from my server:
kinit <username>@DOMAIN + enter the password by hand

If kmail had a kinit option built in (one-time startup), this would not be necessary.

Let me add: The current setup already supports tickets from the mail server. However, our campus setup requires that we get the initial krbtgt ticket from a server OTHER than the mail server.

Hence, we I really need is the ability to specify a different server for the initial krbtgt ticket. (The imap ticket is derived from the krbtgt, either from the KRB server or the MAIL server, I'm not sure. But I think this is transparent, i.e., part of kerberos.)

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
