Version: 2.4.1 (using KDE 3.4.3, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4-r1, ssp-3.4.4-1.0, pie-8.7.8) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.14-gentoo It would be really nice if a subversion plugin existed for kate so that I can commit with a simply keystroke to a svn+file:// (and dav/svn/ssh...) repository.

If you install kdesvn, you can easily add external tools to use that with kate. You can use the tools for cervisia as models. -anders
Thank you for proposing that. But then kate won't be able to show me the status within the documents tab, right? So I would still like to have a really integrated SVN plugin :-) But your suggestion sound quite nice so I will have a look at the CVS examples and try to create a SVN part until the plugin is ready ;-). Thanks!

Let me know how it goes :) -anders
Have you tried the SVN KIO slave? (It is in the kdesdk module.) Have a nice day!

Won't happen if nobody steps up and provides a patch who wants that. kate-editor.org tells how to write up stuff for Kate, please do so, else this is closed.
