Must have been something with the SuSE package from ftp.kde.org, it does not crash with the SVN build.

I re-open this bug, because it is really annoying me. When starting kopete it cannot go online the first time with ICQ, i.e. it stays there turning forever. If I want to set any status it crashes kopete. I ran it from konsole, I hope it helps!
