Version:           krita 1.4.1 (using KDE KDE 3.4.3)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages
OS:                Linux

1. open an image in krita.
2. select some portion of the image and copy it.
3. do file -> new to create new krita file.
4. while trying to paste i get a crash.

note: sometimes while creating a new file at step 3, i get a crash.

then why don't you report it to krita?

1. because the message tells the user to report the bug to bugs.kde.org.

2. also since I am using kde, its your responsibility to talk to the concerned person to fix the problem.
dont expect me to keep on creating qa accounts for all the foss applications.

3. why dont the kde guys implement a proper debugger like gnome? if there's a crash, then the traces are mailed to the gnome team. similarly the traces and the info that the user enters can be mailed to you guys.

This bug was already fixed in 1.4.2.
