Description Gunter Ohrner 2005-11-05 21:01:44 UTC
Version: 1.3.5 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS:                Linux

This essentially looks like bug #94932 reloaded: The character encoding of amaroKs context browser in the KDE sidebar is totally garbled. In contrast, the display within the amaroK window itself is fine, however.
I can remember times where it did work, AFAIR it started to go haywire starting with KDE 3.4.0. As the bug's present for months now, I thought I should report it again.

Lieblingsstücke  <-->  LieblingsstÃŒcke

I'm using KDE 3.4.2 with amarok 1.3.5, but this bug was present in at least KDE 3.4.1 and all amaroKs of the 1.3 series as well.

Greetings,

  Gunter
