Version: 0.10.93 (0.11 Beta 2) (using KDE 3.4.92 (beta2, >= 20051010), Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.6 (Gentoo 3.3.6, ssp-3.3.6-1.0, pie-8.7.8) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-gentoo-r3-richbook I often get messages from friends in ICQ with UTF-8 encoding. I also have set my system to UTF-8 completely but with this release I often don't get the german Umlauts, I get them as they would appear when you read a utf-8 text in iso8859-1. And in the encoding chooser I cannot set utf8. Why? My Problem in Short: When they want to send me "ä" I get "Ä1/4" and so on. (could net produce the quarter Sign, sorry)
Fixed for 0.12 Because it requires new strings, the soonest release this would be fixed in is 0.12. Currently there is no timeline for a 0.12 release.
Matt, could you point out the corresponding commit? I would like to use the patch on Kopete 0.11 locally.
diff between SVN revisions 480179 and 480180 in branches/work/kopete/dev-0.12 to get the patch.
