Description Andre Woebbeking 2005-10-24 22:57:58 UTC
Version:            (using KDE Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources
Compiler:          GCC 4.0.2 Debian Sid
OS:                Linux

Hi,

the table isn't rendered correctly (see attachment). It's fine in Firefox.

BTW, khtml needs much more time to render this page (open the site in both apps on different desktops and switch the desktop some times).

Cheers,
André

reduced testcase

as I said to André, this is rather a WONTFIX.

See testcase:
MSIE/Opera are border-box
     => blue table is shorter
Mozilla grows table-cells to encompass immediate children only (wtf?)
     => red table is shorter

=> in all those browsers, the red table is short
but we can't follow either of those hacks.

But as all the other browsers show this site correctly everyone will
blame Konqueror and not the "broken" site :-( Do you know any
workaround I could use with Konqueror?

Cheers,
André

The webpage has changed since 2005 so the bug cannot be reproduced anymore.
Comment 5 George Goldberg 2008-04-09 07:41:53 UTC
however, the test-case in comment #2 still renders differently on firefox, opera and svn trunk r793457 of konqueror. I have no idea which one is correct however.

This is most likely a KDE3 issue. Please check whether it is still valid for Konqueror 4.8.4. Thank you.
