The AOL client opens a chat window at my request.  When I begin typing, Kopete opens a crash dialog window telling me that "An unknown error has occured." Next, the KDE Crash handler pops up letting me know that I have a lovely segfault.  Note:  I do *NOT* use a proxy or https.  I use the default (Oscar) server.
