Description min 2005-10-22 19:51:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.92)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
OS: Linux

The "Resources"/"Address Books" panes should only be visible when they contain at least two items, since that's the only case when they carry at least one bit of information,

With only one item they take up one quarter of the screen whilst saying nothing at all (except that they let the user infer that more resources might be defined, but one quarter of the screen is a price too high for this)

The resource pane might also resize to only fit the number of items it contains (and disappear if there is only one), thereby saving space at no additional cost. But I think this should be another feature request, actually.

this is more than ever a very current need. on small (netbook-)screens every square milimeter is worthwhile. i love kontact and would appreciate it much, if the arangement of the shown elements/tools in korganizer was more configureable/scaleable. especially the "new date"-dialog is too big for a 9 inch screen. it is too in adressbook if it is embedded in kontact.

Will be great to have option for select resource by drop-down list or pane. For small screen better to have drop-down.

KOrganizer's Calendar Manager can be resized vertically to whatever height the user prefers, and can be hidden entirely via the Settings > Sidebar menu.
