Description Paul Burrowes 2005-10-09 02:28:15 UTC
Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          gcc/g++ 3.3.2
OS:                Linux

KMail crashes when moving large numbers of e-mails from an IMAP folder. The issue appears to be similar to bug 31423 and 43345. I'm not sure if this is only linked to moving to local folders or not but this is where I have encountered it. At the start of the move operation KMail displays a warning in the status bar saying that moving the messages failed but you can see the messages being moved anyway until the crash occurs.

I get the same type of crash with slackware 10.2

bash-3.00# /opt/kde/bin/kmail --version
Qt: 3.3.4
KDE: 3.4.2
KMail: 1.8.2
bash-3.00#
