Version:           1.8.1 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "b" , SUSE 9.3)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.5 20050117 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.4-21.8-default

I use kile every day and at least once each day, kile crashes without any reason. The windows freezes and I have to kill the application (and everything I have written since the last save is lost!!!)

Duplicate of 92368. Note that you are using KDE 3.4.0b2, it is not wise to use beta software for production. I suggest that you at least upgrade to the latest stable KDE 3.4 version.

The bug does not seem to occur in just Kile, do you experience it in any other apps as well (I experience it in Kate too for example). What happens if you just wait (for a few minutes)?

I had the same problem with the last stable version.
I did not try Kate but I have no similar problems with other apps.
