Version:           post 3.3.2 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS:                Linux

Quanta is trying to open remote directory when local directory is selected.


Start Quanta.  ( Quanta starts with existing project )
Open a new project, with a protocol of FTP and with settings that have not been set up on the server yet.
Quanta tried to connect and timed out.
Changed protocol to local. ( remote site greyed out )
Click on Directory icon.
Quanta tries to open "file://username@mysite.com/" ( details of remote site )
Quanta times out with the following error message.

KDE 3 is no longer maintained. Feel free to reopen the ticket if the problem is still applicable in the current stable KDE 4 version. Thank you for your report.
